Certification and Hallmarking
Portugal is part of the group of countries in the European Union that offers the highest quality assurance standards to consumers of precious metal artifacts. According to European laws, all silver, gold and platinum products must be hallmarked and the hallmark must include the type of precious metal and its purity. Hallmarking in Portugal aim to independently guarantee the legal touches of goldsmithing, blaming not only who makes the artifact, but also who controls its touch, ensuring exemption
All of our pieces are hallmarked either by Portuguese hallmarking or are already marked in their origin by Vienna Convention hallmarking mark.
The buyer, in case of doubt about the authenticity of the hallmarks marks, can use, for verification purposes, the services of hallmarking agencies.
